Who we are

Guise is a product of Apara Limited, a company registered in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. References to Guise, Apara, we, us, or our in these terms mean Apara Limited.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 16 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement to use Guise. If you use Guise for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms on its behalf.

You are responsible for information submitted through the website and for keeping any account or license credentials secure. Tell us promptly if you believe they have been accessed without permission.

Your license to use Guise

Subject to these terms and any applicable purchase terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Guise on compatible Apple devices that you own or control. The license is for your own personal or internal business use and does not transfer ownership of Guise or its intellectual property.

Features available to you may depend on your plan, license, device, operating system, and the current version of Guise. A license may not be resold, rented, sublicensed, shared as a standalone product, or used to provide unauthorised access to others.

Acceptable use

You may not use Guise to violate any law or another person’s rights; distribute malware; gain unauthorised access to a system; interfere with the service; bypass usage or license restrictions; reverse engineer Guise except where applicable law expressly permits it; or use Guise to create, train, or improve a competing product without our written permission.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have permission to open, capture, annotate, export, or share websites, prototypes, images, and other content through Guise.

Your content

You retain ownership of the designs, screenshots, recordings, annotations, and other content you use with Guise. Guise stores app-created content locally on your Mac unless you choose to export or share it. We do not claim ownership of your content.

You are responsible for your content, the people with whom you share it, and any confidential or personal information it contains.

Third-party services

Guise can open content provided by third parties, including websites, web applications, and Figma prototypes. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, security, or conduct, and compatibility with a third-party service may change.

Purchases, pricing, and refunds

Prices, included features, and any launch offer are shown at the time of purchase. Taxes or charges imposed by your payment provider may apply. Payment information is handled by the payment provider shown at checkout.

Unless a checkout page states otherwise, purchases are one-time licenses rather than subscriptions. Refunds are provided when required by applicable law and may also be offered under any refund policy displayed at checkout. Promotional codes have no cash value and cannot be combined unless we say otherwise.

Our intellectual property

Guise, including its software, visual design, branding, documentation, and original content, is owned by Apara Limited or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited license granted above, no rights are transferred to you.

Feedback you choose to provide may be used by us to improve Guise without restriction or compensation, provided we do not publicly identify you without permission.

Updates and availability

We may add, change, or remove features, release updates, or discontinue a part of Guise. We aim to keep Guise reliable, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Updates may be required for security, compatibility, or continued use of particular features.

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Guise is provided as is and as available. We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Apara Limited will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from Guise.

Our total liability arising from Guise will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for Guise during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or USD 25. These limits do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited, including liability for fraud or wilful misconduct.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using Guise at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these terms, use Guise unlawfully, create a security risk, or fail to pay an amount due. Where reasonable, we will give notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts with jurisdiction in Abu Dhabi will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms to reflect changes to Guise, our business, or the law. The current version and effective date will be published here. If a material change requires additional notice or consent, we will provide it.
